Registration: required. One registration per person.

The annual National Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony, held at the National War Museum in Ottawa, commemorates the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and pays tribute to the survivors who rebuilt their lives in Canada. The program includes a personal account by a Holocaust survivor, remarks by the leaders of the major Canadian political parties, and moving musical presentations. Participants come from Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto as well as other communities, including 200 high school students. The 2019 theme is, "Struggle for Survival: Jewish Resistance during the Holocaust." A reception follows the event.

Free transportation is available from Toronto and Montreal.

Buses from Toronto will leave promptly at 9:00am from Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda Synagogue (100 Elder Street, Toronto, Ontario M3H 5G7). 

Please plan to ARRIVE at 8:30 am.

Buses from Montreal will leave promptly at 11:30am from Montreal Holocaust Museum (5151 Ch de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine, Montreal, QC H3W 1M6). 

Please plan to ARRIVE at 11:00 am.

Return Buses will depart from the Canadian War Museum at 6:00pm.
